Day 27: Shadow of Death

T 27 A 1. The wish to be unfairly treated is a compromise attempt that would COMBINE attack and innocence. Who can combine the wholly incompatible, and make a unity of what can NEVER join? Walk you the gentle way, and you will fear no evil and no shadows in the night.

Psalm 23:4
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
But place no terror symbols on the path, or you will weave a crown of thorns from which your brother and yourself will NOT escape. You CANNOT crucify yourself alone. And if you are unfairly treated, he MUST suffer the unfairness that you see.

Matthew 27:29
When they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!”
You CANNOT sacrifice yourself alone. For sacrifice is total. If it could occur at all, it would entail the whole of God’s creation, and the Father with the sacrifice of his beloved Son.

Hosea 6:6
For I desire mercy and not sacrifice, And the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.

Matthew 9:13
But go and learn what this means:
“I desire mercy and not sacrifice.
For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

The Body and the Dream

The first reference above, is from chapter 27 the very first paragraph. (how rich also this chapter, OMG) It refers to the Psalm 23 of King David. “Walk the gentle way” and you fear no evil..

The expressions of your Christ mind as you read above are completely congruent, fully integrated, one whole idea. Here you see a the seamless togetherness of Jesus’ words in the New testament, David’s Words in Psalm 23 and even the words in Hosea.

All the above expressions are referring to ‘experience’, not doings. Experience in the sense of actions of mind, opening of consciousness. Example: mercy, not sacrifice or ‘knowledge of God’ instead of burned offerings.

As you take a quick look at yourself, today, how much of your self-worth is related to your doings to your actions? The human consciousness uses actions to ‘prove’ it’s worth, it’s existence, it’s identity. Giving up and stepping back would be the last thing one would ‘do’. It would deny it’s own image.

All the actions are related to a body identification. To become open for the miracle is never a physical action, but a moment of right-mindedness. Miracle-readiness is to stop ‘doing’ and allow ‘undoing’. That’s why it is healing. It stops the actions of denial and resistance and immediately you shift into a vertical experience of yourself, remembering your connectedness instantaneous.
